Kenda wins metering panel contract from Alstom
Energy for Ling Ao nuclear power station
Southampton-based Kenda Electronic Systems Ltd has been awarded a contract from Alstom Energy to supply an operational metering summator panel for use within the conventional island of the Ling Ao nuclear power station in China.
Housed in a triple-bay 19in. cubicle, the Kenda system will include the latest high-accuracy meters together with two of the company’s Meteor summator units, which provide an accurate, real-time value of the net power output from the generators at the site.
The award of the contract followed a competitive tender, and Kenda was chosen largely because of its long experience in the design and manufacture of metering data collection equipment for the electricity-supply industry
In the UK, the company is believed to have installations located at all Grid supply points and all of the main power stations, as well as at several CHP plants.
