Kenda offers turnkey service for high-accuracy metering cubicles Now available from Kenda Electronic Systems Ltd is a turnkey service for the design, manufacture and site commissioning of high-accuracy metering (HAM) cubicles, which are used for tariff metering purposes at 132kV and 400kV Supergrid substations. Kenda HAM cubicles are of a standard COP1 design and incorporate class 0.2s main and check meters, together with dual redundant Kenda Meteor 16- or 32-channel outstations for maximum data integrity. In addition, each cubicle includes voltage failure alarm relays, a latching alarm indicator panel, test terminal blocks, and ancillary equipment such as an anti-condensation heater and themostat, interior light and door switch. Providing a complete service from initial design to final commissioning, Kenda is experienced in carrying out all necessary transformer-error compensation calculations and also offers full secondary injection testing on site. Kenda has a long track record in the design, manufacture and installation of metering data collection systems for the electricity-supply industry, and the company's HAM cubicles are type-registered by NGC. 23rd November 2004 Ref.
